LOCATIONS: Los Angeles, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Calabasas, Pasadena, Venice, Malibu, Atwater Village, Downtown LA, Claremont, Greater Los Angeles Area.

DAYS and HOURS: Either Saturday or Sunday. Usually you will only be scheduled for one of those days. We will assign you to a market based on your availability. Times are variable but farmers’ markets start EARLY, and you’ll start working at 5:45 a.m. Other markets such as craft fairs might be later, such as 8:00 a.m. starting time. FULL DAY with overtime likely. In most of these markets, being punctual is not only important, but if you do not show up on time, they will not allow you to set up so you lose a day of work. It is so very vital that you can be punctual early on a Sunday morning.

PAY: Base plus commissions, depending on experience and ability to execute sales targets.

PERKS: Our sales people receive free products to try out when they meet their daily sales goal. We occasionally offer cash bonuses based on exceeding sales goals. All employees get a generous employee discount for personal purchases.

REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to easily and safely lift 50lbs in the course of work. Some of our equipment such as bins and tents can be heavy. Able to stand at a booth for several hours (chairs are provided but you end up standing most of the time). Can multi-task and deal with rushes of customers when it gets busy, without getting flustered. It is a high-paced environment. Comfortable being outdoors on very hot days or very cold days — our markets are year-round (although we usually cancel when it’s raining).

Must be punctual, reliable and trustworthy.

VEHICLE: If you have a vehicle able to transport market supplies, we might occasionally ask you to meet us at the warehouse and drive the supplies to the market. We pay driving time and mileage in that case. Usually, market sales staff meet us at the market and we drop off the equipment using our van or truck.

Sales Team Members – Bay Area and San Francisco

We are hoping to establish more regular weekly markets in the Bay Area. If you live there, and are interested in weekend sales work, please contact us! Currently we only do events every 3-4 months in the Bay Area, but we would like to participate in weekly farmers markets and craft fairs there.
